SBCTA joined transportation leaders from across Southern California at the annual Mobility 21 Summit in Anaheim, where industry experts, public agencies, and private-sector partners gathered to discuss the future of transportation and infrastructure in the region.

Representing SBCTA, Carrie Schindler, Executive Director, participated in a panel discussion examining the challenges and opportunities associated with moving both people and goods throughout Southern California. Joining leaders from the Port of Los Angeles, Port of Long Beach, Ontario International Airport, and Union Pacific Railroad, the discussion focused on the continued growth of the logistics industry and its impact on mobility, the economy, and local communities.

During the conversation, Schindler highlighted the importance of investing in existing transportation corridors to help accommodate increasing demand generated by the nation’s largest goods movement network. She emphasized the critical role San Bernardino County plays in the regional and national supply chain, noting that significant portion of the country’s goods move through the county as they travel from the Ports of Los Angeles and Long Beach to destinations across the United States.

The panel explored how strategic transportation investments and use of technology can improve mobility for residents while supporting economic growth and maintaining the efficient movement of goods. Discussions also underscored the importance of collaboration among transportation agencies, industry leaders, and public officials as Southern California plans for future growth.

SBCTA’s participation in the summit reflects the agency’s ongoing commitment to advancing transportation solutions that strengthen regional connectivity, support economic vitality, and improve quality of life for communities throughout San Bernardino County.
