Regional Greenhouse Gas Reduction Plan

In 2006, the California legislature passed Assembly Bill (AB) 32, the Global Warming Solutions Act of 2006. The law establishes a limit on greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions for the state of California to reduce state‐wide emissions to 1990 levels by 2020.

As a response, a project partnership, led by SBCTA, has compiled an inventory of GHG emissions and developed reduction measures that could be adopted by the 25 Partnership Jurisdictions of San Bernardino County. Once adopted, the regional greenhouse gas reduction plan will serve as the basis for cities in the County to develop a more detailed community level climate action plans (CAP).
