Part of the agency’s mission to improve transportation and offer transportation choices is providing the public an opportunity to hear about the construction efforts underway. Our goal is to help people make choices about their lives. Whether it be commuting to work, driving the kids to school, or just running around town, knowing what is going on along your route is critical to how you manage the drive.
Prior to the pandemic, much of that information was shared via public meetings, email updates, and social media posts. One of the byproducts of the inability to hold public gatherings was the advancement of web-based tools like Zoom that allows us to share information directly, but in a responsible way. Webinars are a great tool that enable staff to be available in real time while also allowing us to record the engagement opportunity for those whose schedules won’t allow them to attend live.
