Greener Valleys 2016: Creating Jobs & Livable Communities

June 1, 2016

The restoration of local ownership and governance of Ontario International Airport has people talking about opportunity in the Inland Empire and the San Gabriel Valley. You’re invited to join in on Monday, June 13 at Cal Poly Pomona for the Greener Valleys II – a gathering of a broad range of leaders from San Bernardino, Riverside and Los Angeles counties to explore opportunities for collaboration across county lines on transportation, job creation and community development.
Michael Huerta, head of the Federal Aviation Administration, will give a keynote address aviation as a regional economic driver and how transit connections to airports can create opportunity. We’re inviting you to participate in discussion with local leaders and national experts on

  • the challenges and opportunities of building rail connections to Ontario Airport
  • possibilities for strategic partnerships for high-tech, bio-tech and high wage blue collar jobs
  • local opportunities for community development near transit
  • goods movement modernization and cargo-oriented development

Registration is $100. Early Bird registration is only $60. Students $25.
